FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ARVELL BASS OF STONECREEK RANCH RESORT MAKES TOP TEN AT EXTREME MUSTANG MAKEOVER AND ADOPTS HORSE IN AUCTION

Arvell Bass of StoneCreek Ranch and Resort in Mountain Home, Arkansas and his bay mustang, Prince, placed in the top ten at the Extreme Mustang Makeover in Fort Worth, Texas on September 20. Bass had 100 days to train this wild mustang and compete against 64 other trainers in the Legend division of the 2008 Extreme Mustang Makeover.

Going into the finals on Saturday evening his horse was ranked second. Each finalist began with a clean slate in the finals where Bass placed eighth and says he felt that his horse did everything he asked him to do. His finals routine included Prince sidepassing to the fence for Bass to step on without commanding, riding bridleless and an extraordinary display of connection when the young mustang, still bridleless shadowed Bass' every move as he exited the arena on foot.

"After the finals I had grown men with tears in their eyes bear hugging me at our stall. It was such and amazing experience and I had so much support from friends and family and people that we didn't even know," said Bass.

All of the horses that performed in the Extreme Mustang Makeover including, Prince, were placed up for adoption during an auction on Sunday. Bass' friends and family purchased his horse for him, to make sure he would return to Arkansas. After arriving back in Mountain Home, Arkansas, Monday at 2 am, Bass said everyone wast glad to be home.

"When I opened the trailer door Prince walked out and looked at the other horses in the pasture and trotted into the barn. His stall door just happened to be open and he trotted in and looked out at me like, "Okay, come bring me my food!" It almost brought tears to my eyes. " said Bass.

Bass says he plans on continuing his mustang's training after a few weeks of rest. He has already begun performances and public appearances with him at different events and expos. Prince will also serve as a demo horse during clinics at StoneCreek Ranch.
